Fiona Baker
Fiona Baker
Fiona says ‘From an early age, my vocation was to be a nurse, so after completing my training, my career took me into the community working as a district nurse. I joined the Heart of Kent Hospice when it opened in 1991, and my first role there was to set up a range of day care services.
For the past 15 years I have had the privilege of working as a Macmillan nurse caring for people at home. During this time I have become aware of some gaps in service provision, particularly for clients at end of life. I now use my expertise and experience to create a tailor-made service that encompasses their care needs and support for their families.’
Qualifications
Registered General Nurse, Diploma in Nursing, District Nurse Certificate, Care of the Dying and Teaching and Assessing (English National Board) Advanced Communication Skills.
