Can I choose the carers?

During the initial assessment we will try to make the right choice of carer for you from the start. We know how important it is to have trust and confidence in the person looking after you.
We understand how important it is to feel comfortable about inviting someone into your home. We would welcome comments at any time if you were unhappy for whatever reason with the carer assigned to you.

How do you manage and monitor the carer’s visits and make sure they are doing their jobs properly?

When your carer starts to visit, they are supervised in your home regularly via spot checks to make sure everything is to your liking. We would also welcome a call anytime to discuss your care needs. All visits are documented by the carer in your care plan. This provides an accurate record of the time they spend working in your home.

What checks do your carers have?

All our carers are trained to a high standard. Spot checks are undertaken to ensure you are happy with the service. We also carry out enhanced Criminal Records Bureau checks (CRB). This is a service set up by the government to protect vulnerable people.

If I have a concern or complaint what should I do?

We would encourage you to contact us as soon as possible if you have any concerns to enable us to resolve the problem.

What do you charge per hour for care ?
The price would depend on the outcome of the assessment and what type of care is required.

Some carers already have an NVQ in health social care or are working towards this. Carers also complete the care certificate as part of their induction.

What happens when a carer is off sick and on holiday?

Continuity of care is important to us. We always introduce our clients to more than one carer so that a friendly familiar face is available whenever they are needed.

What is the least amount of support we can provide?
